- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in an industrial production setting.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine work procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
- Adhere to all applicable safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Candidate must hold an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade certification, or a Construction Millwright Trade certification, or an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.
- Previous experience with automated production equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of PLC components and programing is an asset.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals and equipment schematics.
- Must have experience with troubleshooting technical issues on high-speed production line environments.
- Experience using a CMMS system to track and document daily tasks is an asset.
- Must have demonstrated experience with installing and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze, diagnose and repair complex production systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must hold a valid drivers license.
- The position requires a candidate to work in different settings that may include climbing ladders, kneeling, standing, and crouching for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50lbs is an asset.
- Candidate must be able to work either shift or overtime hours as production needs dictate.
