Canada Building Materials (CBM), formed in 1930, is the building materials division of St. Marys Cement Inc., with ready-mix and aggregate operations across Ontario and Quebec. CBM is a subsidiary of Votorantim Cimentos.

STUDENT - OPERATIONS (Aggregates)

Length: 4 Months (April/May-Labour Day)

Rate of Pay:
$18.50 per hour

Location:
Aberfoyle, ON

Travel:
Various - Company Truck Provided When Needed License: Driver's license preferred

Working within CBM's Aggregate division, the Student - Operations will assist plant management with various tasks, including outdoor maintenance, housekeeping, deliveries and more.

This position is ideal for a student looking for summer work to gain experience in the construction and surface mining industries.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Administrative duties assisting the Plant Supervisors and Operations Management.
General housekeeping and outdoor maintenance (grass cutting, shoveling etc.).
Safe use of various equipment (lawn mowers, tools etc.)
Travel to various locations delivering materials (if needed).
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Current postsecondary or high school student (or starting postsecondary in the fall)
18 years of age or older
Valid G2 or G class drivers license and clear 3year drivers abstract is an asset
Ability to work and perform labour outdoors regularly
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
