Description
NCH Canada Inc. is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial maintenance products. We are currently looking for a Health and Safety (H&S) Coordinator to join our team. They will primarily be responsible for providing direct administrative support to the EHS Department.


Job duties will include but not limited to

  • Providing assistance with administrative and technical support for department related activities.
  • Managing and maintaining related databases, files, and records.
  • Performing various compliance inspections including written reports and recommendations.
  • Assisting in the planning, organization, development, and booking of training programs/seminars for various workgroups.
  • Maintaining awareness of regulatory amendments and make recommendations for their implementation.
  • Assisting in the planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental programs, and ensure conformance to industry standards and federal, provincial and local regulations.
  • Participate in the identification, evaluation, control, and management of hazards and risks throughout the organization
  • Review and prepare documents, reports and other correspondence materials and ensure all documentation is kept current.
  • Any other duties relevant to the position as required.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed or is nearing completion of a Post-Secondary Diploma or Certificate related to Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Additional training qualifications in H&S field (i.e. WHMIS, TDG, Certified JHSC member) is considered an asset.
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and outlook.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, problem solving, communication, and followup skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.

  • Accountable, dependable, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Enthusiasm for challenges and new initiatives. High degree of resourcefulness.
  • Ethical and high level of personal integrity related to business sensitive information and privacy.
  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams.

Hours:
Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (hybrid role - min 3 days a week in office required)
