What You Will Do:


  • Responsible for directing the repair and maintenance of company facility, machinery, and equipment
  • Responsible for scheduling direct reports to complete ongoing and preventative maintenance of company facility, machinery, and equipment
  • Assist in scheduling outside contractors for both regular and emergency repairs
  • Ensure maintenance responsibilities and tasks are delegated for all scheduled shifts
  • Responsible for ordering parts and components for inventory as needed
  • Assist with daytoday maintenance as needed
  • Complete performance evaluations with direct reports
  • Conduct training and meetings with department personnel as needed
  • Provide assistance to the production team to implement and support lean and quality initiatives
  • Comply with all internal and OH&S safety regulations, and uphold these standards with all personnel
  • Complete all required administrative duties as needed
  • Maintain positive working relationships within the production group.
  • Other duties as required

Position Details:


  • Permanent
  • Fulltime
  • Rotating shift between day and afternoon shift (night shift may be required dependent on business conditions)
  • Weekend or night shift may be required dependent on business conditions

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar or same industry
  • Working knowledge of: Electrical (AC & DC), PLC's, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, pipefitting, and fabrication and welding
  • Hold an advanced level of experience and skill set
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of projects to meet timelines
  • Ability to function effectively as a team player
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics technical manuals and drawings
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both orally and written
  • Flexible, organized, and critical thinker
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)

Physical Demands

  • Preemployment testing including drug & alcohol, vision, auditory, background check and physical demands assessment required upon hire
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours/day

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Supervisory experience
  • Manufacturing background
  • Forklift and overhead experience

Certifications:


  • Ticket for Journeyman/Journeyperson Millwright or Electrician
