What You Will Get To Do

Reporting to the Manager of Development Financing & Long Term Financial Planning, the Temporary Part-Time Development Finance Clerk is responsible for:

  • providing development fee quotations, processing payments, preparing Journal Entries, account reconciliations, reporting as needed for Town of Whitby, Region of Durham and DDSB/DCDSB;
- providing financial support during year end and the audit process;
- co-ordinating updates to Development Finance documents, rate tables, webpage, etc.; and
- other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To Our Team

As the successful applicant, you must possess:

  • three (3) year post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other equivalent;
- a minimum of six (6) months of directly related work experience in an accounting environment, including invoicing, journal entry preparation and monthly account balancing / reconciliation / remittances; and
- intermediate level computer skills (MS Office, Amanda, MPower, etc.)
