Manager, Workforce Intelligence


What is the opportunity?


Canadian Banking Operations (CBO) Workforce Management Advisory Service is hiring a Manager, Workforce Intelligence role that will lead the delivery of strategic analytics, insights, and reporting, to support the transformation of our role design and distribution model.

This position will provide next-generation data delivery, with a focus on supporting strategic initiatives within Banking Operations and establishing a new standard of services that will scale into Risk Operations, and other CBO partnerships.


Please note:

This is a hybrid role, where the expectation is that 3 days per week you are commuting into the office.

The applicant should be ready to pivot if RBC further adjusts the number of days an employee is required to be at the office versus their eligibility to work from home.


What will you do?

  • Design and develop innovative capacity analytics to measure employee effectiveness and efficiency, within different design models, visualize and present insights, and support leaders in managing a rapidly evolving business.
  • Collaborate with key partners (e.g., Data & Analytics Centre of Expertise) from different platforms to draw data, uncover trends and changing conditions, and to tell the story to support strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Lead conversations with business partners to solicit requirements and project feedback.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation related to reporting solutions, including specifications, data lineage, technical and business definitions for metrics, and test plan/test cases.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Advanced proficiency in reporting analytics, included advanced Excel expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or generalpurpose programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, and the ability to anticipate and respond to client needs.
  • Challenging mindset, with a desire to innovate with curiosity and purpose.
  • A focus on the team, and a passion for empowering and coaching to help others be their best.

Nice-to-have

  • University degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g., engineering, mathematics, statistics, etc.)
  • Project management and/or Agile capabilities
  • Changeoriented, with demonstrated behaviours to be bold, to create client value, and win
