    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be a Senior Executive General Claims Adjuster for the Technical Services Team. They will be actively involved in evaluating multi-line claims with a focus on property (commercial and personal lines) claims through loss investigation, and be responsible for negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Reviews and analyzes experts' reports
    • Selects and directs independent experts
    • Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities
    • Secures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgets
    • Detailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client based systems
    • Maintains accurate expense accounts
    • Work with manager to maintain client relation
    • Ability to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators
    • Some travel to loss sites is required

    Requirements:

    • 8+ years claims adjusting experience, specifically a minimum of 5 years of technical large/complex claims handling experience is required
    • Commercial policy interpretation and experience making recommendations to the market is required
    • Ideal candidate will have a construction and property background specializing in project management, quantification and appraisal
    • Full Ontario Independent Adjusting License
    • CIP or FCIP designation required, CRM designation is an asset
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills
    • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth
    • Valid G license and reliable transportation to attend loss sites is required

    Additional Information:

    Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
