    Summary:

    This is a highly critical role that will interface closely with global and regional supply chain organizations to identify and execute process automation technology optimization across the company. Successful candidate will develop & define McCain's process automation technology roadmap and drive the rollout of its resulting programs globally. Additionally, this role will develop and own the global process automation engineering design standards.

    Through global indirect reporting relationships, this role will have the opportunity to interface and influence across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. We are looking for an energetic, passionate leader who can help pave the future for McCain.

    Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Proactively build, cultivate, and execute through others by leveraging indirect reporting relationships across all regional engineering teams.
  • Create, maintain, and drive stakeholder adherence to the global process automation engineering standards.
  • Provide the thought leadership necessary to develop and execute the global investment strategy for process automation technology and subsequent rollout of technological innovations (, model predictive control, interfacing process automation to higher level IT systems, etc).
  • Work collaboratively with regional, individual factory and OEM leadership teams to develop/validate new process automation systems and test/maintain/modify pre-existing systems.
  • Travel to various regions/plants to provide ongoing business critical support as required.
  • Act as the global subject matter expert within the process automation space to provide troubleshooting and project support to regions and individual factories.
  • Provide process automation mentorship, training, and knowledge transfer to regional factory teams and/or 3rd party vendors.
  • Who are we looking for :

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in Food or CPG industries
  • Prior experience with Rockwell automation hardware/ software strongly preferred
  • Strong business insight and the ability to manage complexity within the manufacturing landscape
  • University/ College Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven capability to develop and maintain strong collaborative business and indirect reporting relationships across global, regional, and cross-functional teams
  • Program management skills: identification and management of stakeholders, milestone development and tracking of progress, resource management, risk mitigation, detailed action planning, change management and upward communication.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with diversity and inclusion sensitivity with the ability to effectively delegate tasks to indirect reports and drive accountability across multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams on both strategic and tactical projects with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%
