Leading warehouse operations and logistics program activities to ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Managing and monitoring compliance programs, including Transportation of Dangerous Goods, CBSA, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, emergency preparedness, and security requirements.
Planning, managing, and reporting on Annual Program Work and Budget (APWB), integrated audit plans, program milestones, and Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan (PEMP) deliverables.
Developing, reviewing, and maintaining program documentation, procedures, standards, training plans, and working‑level training materials.Overseeing the development and completion of required reports and assessments, including environmental, health and safety, TDG, emergency preparedness, training status, and self‑assessments.
Monitoring logistics performance and analytics related to import/export, materials management, and warehouse operations using ERP and DevonWay systems.Leading, coaching, and supervising warehouse operations personnel, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development activities.
Creating a work environment that supports safe, efficient execution of work while promoting multi‑skilling, continuous improvement, and workforce capability.
Conducting oversight, observations, investigations, and corrective actions related to incidents, performance issues, and return‑to‑work requirements.
Building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, compliance program representatives, and CNL clients to support operational objectives.
Liaising with external partners, including regulators, suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, and industry peers, to support logistics operations and benchmarking initiatives.
Analyzing operational data and performance results to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for process and program improvements.Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What We Are Looking For
Education
University degree or college diploma (Business Administration/Management or Logistics Management is an asset)
Experience
5–10 years of progressively responsible logistics experience (or an equivalent combination of education and logistics program experience)
3–5 years of leadership and/or supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, materials management, commercial transportation, and customs/traffic operations.
Ability to assess, recommend, and implement process and procedure changes; continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical skills.
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; able to deliver results through direct reports and cross‑functional teams; excellent oral and written communication.
Process‑oriented approach; able to adapt to changing demands and meet tight deadlines; design/initiate/promote improvements across Logistics and its customer base.
Security Clearance Eligibility RequiredReliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security.
"Working Conditions
Working schedule:
Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half hour work week.
