McKenna Agencies is a well-respected electrical sales agency with a long, rich history in Alberta and we are currently looking for our newest member to help drive our business.

We are seeking a motivated salesperson that has experience with distribution networks and understands how we can aid them as manufacturers representatives.

The primary goal would be establishing meaningful contacts within the distribution network to create demand for our manufacturing partners.

The qualified person would need to be confident in presenting training and product demonstrations as well as stocking promotions both in person and online with Microsoft Teams.

The ability to create and implement marketing programs to support sell through inventory is a must.

Constant contact with an always evolving sales team at each distribution partner as well as their contractor clients would be required.

Ongoing self-improvement to stay up to date with technologies and trends in the electrical industry is at the core of how we bring value to our clients.

• Has previous sales experience in the electrical industry
• Can demonstrate education associated with the electrical industry
• Is eager to learn about new products and can effectively position them at our distribution partners
• Has knowledge in the relationship between distribution networks and agency partners
• Can establish a regular sales call rotation calling on sales managers, purchasing teams, inside sales teams, and supporting them with joint sales calls to their client base
• Works independently developing sales calls to electrical contractor and general contractor clients to drive business for our distributor partners
• Has excellent oral, written and verbal presentation skills and can adjust to various software platforms

This is an immediate position serving primarily the Edmonton area but will involve travel to supporting distribution branches out of town as well as occasional air travel within Canada and potentially the US.
