Job Description:


The System/Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Silfab Solar's IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT systems.

The incumbent will work closely with the IT Manager and other IT staff to ensure that the company's IT systems are running efficiently and effectively.


This position is required to be on-site - Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:


  • Installing and configuring operating systems and software on servers and desktop computers.
  • Managing and maintaining servers and network infrastructure.
  • Managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Monitoring system performance and security.
  • Managing and maintaining software and security updates.
  • Supporting end users with technical issues.
  • Documenting and maintaining IT procedures and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
  • Providing remote support to users in multiple locations
  • Managing and maintaining IT asset inventory
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and make recommendations for improvements to the IT
infrastructure.


Qualifications:


  • Basic knowledge and understanding in a Business and technical environment, standards, processes, programming languages and operating systems.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ will be an advantage.
  • Technical skills: Junior sys admins should have a solid understanding of operating systems, servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Familiar with various software and tools used for system administration, such as virtualization, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. They will often need to communicate
technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problemsolving skills, able to analyze and diagnose issues quickly and effectively.
  • Keen attention to detail, as they will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex IT systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Key Requirements:


  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Basic understanding of how to write technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and all levels in the organization.
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn.

Nice to Have:


  • SharePoint, PowerBI, Linux Web Services set up, PowerShell.
  • Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
