Responsibilities:


  • Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
  • Assist with closing the books and subledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
  • Instill operational discipline into existing team processes
  • Work with senior leadership on strategic planning, establishing guidelines, implementing controls, and executing strategic plans
  • Assist with the implementation of policies and procedures
  • Serve as a technical mentor for an area within the business
  • Build and maintain a thorough understanding of related product reporting and analytics and utilize knowledge of systems and process flows to provide insight and recommendations on identified issues
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:


  • 610 years of experience in Financial Services preferred
  • Global Project Management experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Proven problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

  • Reporting and disclosure of Basel Capital Adequacy requirements, including daily monitoring of capital requirements.
  • Prepare local (Canadian) financial and regulatory reporting for our banking entities, i.e., for Citibank Canada and Citibank, N.A. (Canadian Branch), a Schedule II and Schedule III bank respectively.
  • Proactively respond to changes in the regulatory environment.
  • Participate in the preparation of yearend audited financial statements for Citibank Canada (including its subsidiaries), Citibank, N.A. (Canadian Branch) and Citi Canada Pension Plan.
  • Participate in the preparation of Board of Directors materials, including business performance analysis, asset volumes, earnings and capital forecasts.
  • Assist in the management of regulatory examinations and internal audits.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required, e.g., automating processes and/or reengineering reporting activities.
  • Align key controls with financial reporting processes, update process documentation and validate with MCA testing.
  • Identify changes in local policies and standards and assess impact on regulatory reporting.
  • Maintenance of mapping tables in the local ledger.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned from timetotime.
  • Coordinate with various internal teams (Internal Audit, Risk, etc.) to analyze and implement regulatory changes relating to FRTB-SA, plus CVA-BA
  • Strong knowledge of Market Risk factors
  • Implementing other ongoing changes to BCAR/LRR.
