About the opportunity:


We are in search of an agile media planning professional with a client focused mindset to join our team as Media Planner.

At Blu Ivy we work together to research and define employer brands. We are employer branding and culture architects.

We partner with our HR, Communications and Marketing clients and build award-winning cultures, inspire extraordinary employee pride and engagement, and highly desired workplaces.


As the Media Planner, you will work closely with the team to plan and activate best in class cross-platform paid media programs that deliver on client objectives.

The Media Planner assists with client management, deck preparation, reporting, ongoing campaign optimization and defining overall KPI's per channel.

You will be expected to have a strong working knowledge of the paid media space, (including both digital and traditional channels) and a deep understanding of industry process and tools.


In this role you will:


  • Work with the team to manage the endtoend paid media process involving campaign strategy, planning and implementation
  • Analyze and compile research to identify audience insights, align objectives and build the strategy for crosschannel campaigns
  • Select relevant channels, develop budgets and flowcharts, and recommend tactical implementation, to align with the campaign strategy and client goals
  • Present comprehensive media plans and reports to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Accurately manage media plan updates and campaign documents including media plans, flowcharts, budgets, insertion orders and reports
  • Stay on top of industry trends and developments to guide recommendations for our clients.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Marketing, or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of media planning and/or buying experience
  • Have experience pulling audience insights, leveraging Telmar, Vividata and MRI Simmons
  • Have a strong digital foundation, with an understanding of campaign management and optimization
  • Have confidence with an ability to present to internal and external stakeholders
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills
  • Enjoy environments that are fastpaced, flexible, and focused on growth and innovation

Bonus if you have:


  • Agency experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in and knowledge of Employer Branding
