Role:

As a front desk assistant volunteer, you will play an important part in ensuring a smooth, safe, and welcoming experience for customers accessing our facility.

You will assist customers with the sign-in process, provide directions, and collaborate with our staff to ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently.


Reports to:
Department Manager & Volunteer Coordinator


Time Commitments:

This Position requires 4 hours per week commitment. Shifts are 1-4 hours in length and typically scheduled on weekday mornings 9:00AM-12:00PM and evenings from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.

What You'll Do:


  • Greet customers and provide a welcoming environment.
  • Identify customers and verify their credentials or identification for access to the facility.
  • Assist customers in signing in, ensuring accurate and complete information is recorded.
  • Provide directions and information to customers regarding the location of the tenants within the facility.
  • Monitor the sport partner gate area to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the facility.
  • Maintain a vigilant presence at the sport partner gate, ensuring the facility remains secure.
  • Utilize radio communication devices to contact tenants' staff when necessary, ensuring prompt assistance for customers in need.
  • Attend periodic volunteer meetings or trainings to stay updated on any changes in procedures or policies.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to maintain a positive and cohesive team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and other volunteers.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail to identify authorized individuals and prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Reliability and punctuality in fulfilling assigned shifts and commitments.
  • Respect for confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive customer information appropriately
