We are currently looking for one (1) Technician Operational Quality for the day shift at our Etobicoke location to join our Intersand family_

JOB SUMMARY
During manufacturing, control, sort, sample and test raw materials and products obtained because of the processing of raw materials.


Participate in various activities related to the management of internal and external requests, the audit process as well as document management.


Ensure efficient communication on the site, promote the flow of information, and take the necessary means to ensure that all site employees have the necessary training to perform quality-related tasks in a compliant manner.


MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. In-process quality assurance

  • Inspect components at various stages of processing to ensure compliance with standards;
  • Take a sample of the product during and after the treatment process to perform routine analyzes or subsequent analyzes in the laboratory;
  • Analyze products to determine compliance with specifications;
  • Report nonconformities in products and processes, establish action plans and follow up with the various stakeholders;
  • Write quality reports and complete verification and test reports according to the established protocol;
  • Collect the data required for the establishment of specifications.
B. Support in the management of customer requests

  • Assist her immediate supervisor in investigations (collection of tangible evidence, data analysis, factory tests, etc.);
  • Verification of customer samples;
  • Prepare customer audits (on request).
C. Operationalization of the audit process

  • Perform internal audits according to the determined plan;
  • Perform supplier audits (as needed).
D. Support for the management of the quality system

  • Ensure management of controlled documentation for the manufacturing site;
  • Participate in the review of standard operating procedures (SOP);
  • Record and process nonconformities, corrective and preventive actions, controlled changes in the central file;
  • Participate in the preparation of management reviews.
E. Communications, information flow and training

  • Make daily followups with the managers of the manufacturing site;
  • Participate in daily manufacturing meetings;
  • Train site employees on Intersand's quality standards so that they are able to perform the qualityrelated tasks included in their respective roles in a compliant manner;
  • Perform the evaluation, monitoring and verification of training records (quality component) of employees of the manufacturing site;
  • Promote the quality policy on the manufacturing site;
  • Communicate any opportunities for continuous improvement.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Indepth knowledge of MS Office products (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Experience as an internal auditor (asset)

ACADEMIC TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies in a relevant field or Attestation of Collegial Studies in a relevant field with experience related to the requirements of the position.
  • 13 years of experience in a role related to quality assurance within a manufacturing company.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Bilingual (French and English) oral and written (asset).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a valid passport and be able to occasionally fly to Canada and the United States.
