Position Summary
Working in conjunction with the Owner, the Operations Manager will be instrumental in enabling the expansion of the operations.

The Operations Manager plans, implements, and oversees the daily operations of the company to ensure goals and objectives are not just achieved, but exceeded.


Key Responsibilities

  • Involved in daytoday operational activities including: hiring, onboarding, scheduling, vendor management, inventory, logistics, and responding to customer concerns, etc.
  • Accurately estimate projects and negotiate rates
  • Ensure facilities and work sites are safe, clean, and wellmaintained to the satisfaction of the company and its clients
  • Contact, train and supervise employees as necessary, manage HR issues, and project future goals for direct reports
  • Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, activity reports, and cost analysis
  • Maintain records which may include but are not limited to safety documents, project plans, and decision records
  • Ability to interpret forecasting data as needed to set operations goals
  • Assist with or prepare and update operations manual, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as required

Skills /Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of operations management
  • Proficient management and effective leadership skills required
  • Related renovation, restoration & development experience required
  • Experience in operating small hand tools (skill saw, hand saw, compound miter saw, table saw, paint sprayer, drill sawzall, screw gun, safe use of ladder, etc.)
  • Finishing carpentry experience including: drywalling, mudding, taping, and painting: cuttingin, caulking, sanding, etc.
  • Experience leading crews in a construction setting with multiple and ongoing jobs per day
  • Formal education in business management, business administration, or related field is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and estimating software
  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and willing to travel to job sites as/when needed

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Potential bonus pay
  • Potential for equity stake in company

  • Grande Prairie, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
