Catholic Social Services is recruiting for one (1), full time, forty (40) hours per week Program Supervisor to join our team This position requires a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of families including daytime, evening and weekend work.

This is a contract position ending October 31, 2024.
An on-call component is required.
This position is community based and requires work from multiple locations.

Program Overview:


As a Program Supervisor with Collaborative Service Delivery, you will provide high quality support to frontline staff with the Collaborative Service Delivery Program, supporting children and families directly involved with Children's Services.

This position requires supervisors to collaborate with partners and front line workers to engage families through early intervention and family driven practice.

A key component of this position is supporting front line staff in their work with children and families to connect with resources and organizing service delivery with stakeholders.

When leading innovative service delivery, your strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills will be an asset. Through motivation, compassion, and organization, you will support the team to empower families in achieving their goals.


The Meaningful Work You'll Do:


In this exciting leadership opportunity as a Program Supervisor, you support staff in client assessment, service coordination, counselling, education, and resource development.

You also think strategically and are able to support your team to create innovative program solutions to meet ever-changing client needs.

You have a passion for client driven care to ensure collaborative wrap around services are provided within a collaborative framework.


  • Ensure that the service delivery for vulnerable children, youth and families focuses on achievement of the Child Safety, Child Well Being, Permanence, Family and Community Support as the central driver for casework and resource allocation decisions.
  • Monitor that appropriate therapeutic, educational, recreational, medical, psychiatric, psychological, spiritual and other related aspects of client care are implemented according to the child assessment in a crisis or a noncrisis situation.
  • Lead a team by being a positive, participatory team member
  • Provide monthly group supervision tailored to current staff and their needs
  • Provide updated information about child outcomes in order to evaluate the services offered to children and families
  • Keep outcomes data to align work between the formal child intervention system and the Agency service delivery
  • Evaluate the risks and benefits to provide resources needed to support the family, identifying resources in the Agency/community to address identified gaps
  • Keen attention to detail and organization will aid you in preparing reports, proposals, presentations and assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets

Education and Qualifications:


  • A diploma/degree in Human Services (or equivalent)
  • A minimum three (3) years of related experience with children and families, and experience working with individuals experiencing family violence, addictions, and high risk behaviours
  • Previous supervisory and program development experience would be an asset
  • Proven problemsolving skills with the ability to visualize and deliver creative solutions
  • Provide delegation, negotiation and leadership skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality and diplomacy
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines
  • A Valid class 5 Driver's License and vehicle that enables you to safely transport clients and children in the back seat (Child safety seats will be provided) is required
  • Summary of driving record with no more than six (6) demerit points current within one (1) year.
  • Vehicle Registration and Third Party Liability Insurance (amount of two million)
  • Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search and Children's Service Intervention Record Check must be current within six (6) months
