Located in downtown Guelph, steps from the GO Transit hub, Sandbox Software is seeking to add a Business Analyst to its growing team.

This is a hybrid/remote position supporting our cross-Canada team and our national and global partners.

The Business Analyst will collaborate with various departments and client stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows.

You will translate these requirements into functional specifications for web and software project teams and work closely with project coordinator, developers, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery.

The Business Analyst will also be involved in identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What you Bring to the Role:

• Through discovery with the client stakeholders, experience in documenting in use cases and/or stories, the functional business processes and tools, identifying opportunities for technology or process improvements
• Elicit and record system requirements from the client Demonstrate the ability to assess complexity, size, and risk factors for a proposed solution
• In collaboration with designers and developers, invent and document through functional specifications, wire frame mockups and data and system technical specifications, a proposed solution to meet the client's business objectives
• In collaboration with the Project Delivery Manager, present the proposed solution to the client
• In collaboration with designers and developers, revise the proposed solution until the client is satisfied with it
• Assist in the project management life cycle, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• In collaboration with developers and the Project Delivery Manager, assess project status with a view to prioritizing tasks for both internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate ability to manage change requests and their impact on release plans
• In collaboration with developers, validate the proposed solution throughout the development life cycle against client expectations
• Provide support to the QA team as they create their test plans from the approved solution, providing context or answering questions
• On selected projects, act as project coordinator to:
• Assign tasks and milestones to project team members
• Check in with the project team to assess project status, and mitigate risks to delivery dates and quality
• Regularly assess the project against the scope to ensure we deliver what we promised
• Keep the client informed of project status
