Since 1981, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Toronto has served as a place to call home for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment.

RMHC Toronto encompasses a House for 81 families in downtown Toronto and seven Family Rooms in hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area and in Sudbury.

The families we serve come from throughout Ontario, across Canada and around the world.

We are looking for a
Donor Database Analyst to join our team in Toronto.


About the opportunity

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Develop Raiser's Edge NXT Business strategy that supports, enables and tracks fundraising goals.
  • Analyze data to ensure accuracy, data quality, and recommend process changes if required.
  • Support data and report requests, including segmented direct mail lists, eblast lists, Annual Report lists, donor recognition and invitation lists.
  • Monthly and ad hoc report development to track the effectiveness of major gift fundraising and the moves management cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other end users to create, implement, and document functional best practices for event management, moves management, reporting, and analytics; understand user needs and provide the tools to access data on demand.
  • Responsible for database integrity and security when working with Blackbaud services and external vendors.
  • Perform database maintenance and create audits for the database, to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting / analytics
  • Enter, verify, code, reconcile and balance all gift data for timely and accurate processing and tax receipting in accordance with CRA guidelines.
  • Perform bank reconciliations with database gift entry and posts gifts into accounting database.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure new or imported data and updates are accurately uploaded to Raiser's Edge.
  • Provide an organizationwide source of expertise on Raiser's Edge to support donor data and ensure users have the best possible information for effective decision making and accessing data.
  • Create and implement a user training program and documentation. Provide on
- going technical support to RMHC Toronto's Raiser's Edge database and NXT users.

  • Work with third party vendors to implement, monitor, and troubleshoot product integration and software issues.
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications team to create and maintain online donation pages, including troubleshooting when problems arise.
  • Assist in accounts payable processing
  • Performs other duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in gift processing and database management including designing reports and queries. Experience in a similar charity or notforprofit organization is an asset.
  • Raiser's Edge database management certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of Canada Revenue Agency tax receipting rules and guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of prospect research and moves management protocols.
  • Advanced skills with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge (database view & NXT), Blackbaud NetCommunity for Raiser's Edge & Crystal Reports or similar fundraising software.
  • Good knowledge and skills with donation platforms (i.e. Luminate, Classy, Raisin, Engaging Networks, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Crystal Reports.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the abilities to manage multiple deliverables in a timesensitive environment and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and clarify concerns and concepts to various audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and work in a teambased environment.
  • Effective problem solver with initiative to be innovative and creative with solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with donor data and data integrity.
  • Performs other duties, as required.
