Role Overview
This role is responsible for the caring for the upkeep of both the plant and production areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment to ensure cleanliness
  • Disassemble/ reassemble processing equipment in a timely manner
  • Ensure equipment passes preoperating inspections and reclean as needed
  • Ensure Food Safety and Regulatory requirements are met.
  • Store and organize cleaning and sanitizing equipment properly
  • Lift boxes and materials when required
  • Report all equipment problems to Supervisors and to Leads to ensure equipment is operating properly each shift.
  • Perform limited nonsanitation tasks as assigned to ensure the area is sanitized and food safety procedures are followed.
  • Perform specific sanitation duties as assigned by Supervisor; based on the required cleaning needs everyday.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as assigned/needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience

  • 1 year sanitation experience and/pr previous experience
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift at least 1025 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be able to push, pull, drag, bend, lean and twist from the waist
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Willingness to work early morning, afternoon or evening shifts
  • Ability to work well under mínimal supervision and work well within a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to read and willing to follow the procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and work safely
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak and write English efficiently and effectively
