Temporary - Full-Time (fourteen months contract)


Responsibilities:


  • Manage HR Operations resources, vendor relationships and contracts, and provide leadership to the HR Operations Team
  • Coordinate the endtoend employee onboarding and offboarding experience
  • Deliver positive experiences to Adastra's employees that help raise their engagement levels, workplace productivity, and overall performance by focusing on programs and initiatives that impact the employee life cycle
  • Propose new ideas and plans to support employee experience and engagement, and implement approved plans
  • Benefits: Manage the health, quality, and vendor relationships in regard to Adastra's employee benefit program by continually assessing employee needs
  • Wellness & Perks: guide and create employee programs including Wellness, Perks, and FitBit
  • Rewards & Recognition: create and execute new program
  • Newsletter: Manage the content, creation, and facilitation of Adastra's quarterly newsletter
  • Own and maintain the HXM (SAP SuccessFactors) and provide oversight where needed for continuous growth, development, and improvement in regard to functionality within the system
  • Proofread and approve written communications before publication
  • Oversee employee probation periods and support the communication of results
  • Collaborate with the HR Director to perform a comprehensive review of the organization's HR practices and processes in order to identify priority areas and create an action plan for improving processes, functions, efficiency, efficacy, automations, and more
  • Collaborate with Adastra West entities in all areas relevant to your job duties
  • Support company growth and related projects
  • Conduct HR research and support other HR initiatives as needed
  • Assist the HR team with hosting company events
  • Continuously engage with staff:
  • Educate and promote our programs
  • Ensure staff are engaged and supported and solicit feedback
  • Offer support or direct staff to appropriate resources

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree specialized in Human Resources or related area
  • Minimum of 23 years' experience working in a similar leadership/management capacity in HR
  • Previous experience in the information technology or consulting domains
  • Must have experience in various facets of HR (Benefits, Employee Experience, Onboarding and Offboarding, etc.) with concrete achievements in implementing HR policies and structure, and coaching management on best practices
  • Very good knowledge of MS office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be proactive, quality and detailoriented as well as able to handle multiple priorities/deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Growth mindset continuous learning, seek to improve, embrace new ideas, perspectives, technology. An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work

Nice to Have:


  • Knowledge of provincial employment legislation
  • CHRP/CHRA designation is considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge, experience, and understanding of HR technologies (SAP SuccessFactors, iCIMS, etc.)
