About the role
This might just be the best Engineering opportunity in Canada (if we do say so ourselves). Float is looking for an exceptional Full Stack Engineer to build simple, elegant, and highly intuitive products geared towards Canadian SMB and mid-sized companies.
In this role, you'll be responsible for building and enabling credit products for our customers that are dependent on their financial profile, real-time account balances, monthly spending, and working capital needs. You'll have the opportunity to enable the growth of a diverse cross-section of Canadian businesses through your work. You will work with a small squad with Floaters in product, engineering, design and ops, and will have extreme ownership over your product vertical. This specific Accounting squad is focussed on building the fastest month end reconciliation process for our customers by automating transaction categorization and integrating with leading finance platforms. You will have everything you need to move quickly, be innovative, and quickly ship high-quality products and features.

You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 5+ years of demonstrated full stack web development experience, ideally in a B2B, SaaS environment
You're motivated by being a leader. You have a track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale. You take ownership over your work and master your craft as an individual contributor
You've got experience with our tech stack. Typescript/React, Python/Django
You're a supportive team player. You cultivate and build long-term, trusting, and collaborative relationships with your squad members, and cross-functionally
You're eager to continue your own learning. Scrappy and voracious, you want to know the 'why' behind every answer.
You believe the customer comes first. You'll advocate endlessly for our customers, and have a natural curiosity to understand their needs.
