    Keyera is currently seeking a Team Lead – Projects within our Liquids Infrastructure Engineering group, intended to lead the execution of green and brownfield projects across the portfolio. The successful candidate will be an integral part of delivering projects to the assets to support safe and efficient operation of the facilities. The individual will lead a team of Project Managers and will be expected to work with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Team Lead – Projects will maintain and develop a team of project professionals who effectively define, plan, execute and continuously improve project delivery by:
      • Instilling a culture of safety and diligence in project delivery
      • Support pre-screening of new opportunities and PIN development
      • Effectively engaging cross-functional teams with the skills and capacity to support the project
      • Maintaining internal and external stakeholder alignment by effectively planning, monitoring & reporting project status, proactively identifying & mitigating risks, seeking and leveraging opportunities, correcting deviations, and incorporating changes as they arise
      • Ensuring lifecycle asset value through design, construction, and commissioning
      • Applying continuous improvement processes to project planning and execution
      • Monitoring and incorporating best practices from sources such as IPA, CII, COAA, PMI, etc.
    • Lead innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvements as well as mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and capabilities in support of business initiatives.
    • Provide strong leadership through a consistent, efficient, scalable, and innovative approach to engineering and program management.
    • Facilitate discussions with BD, Operations, and other stakeholders in and driving cost effective, practical, and fit for purpose solutions.
    • Lead reporting of project KPIs, dashboards and other data (cost, schedule, risk, quality etc.)
    • Closely work with the SCM team and other functions to develop cost effective strategies for procurement of equipment, materials and securing the required services.
    • Review the basis of estimates, cost estimates and annual budgets.
    • Direct the workload of two to four Project Managers
    • Work w/ Ops Eng to support appropriate assignment of high priority larger scale MoCs
    • Execute a limited number of projects based on available capacity.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Engineering degree from accredited university and registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
    • Fifteen (15) years' experience in Project Management with a focus field based and brownfield project execution.
    • Project and team leadership in oil and gas industry
    • Strong communications skill, both written and verbal
    • Project management concepts, tools & processes including Front-End Loading, stage / gate process, change management, risk management and readiness checks
    • Broad skills across all engineering disciplines
    • Proven track record in leading a multi-disciplined team in developing solutions to achieve business goals.
    • Skilled in management of change processes and procedures.
    • Strong interpersonal, organization and decision-making skills.
    • Self-starter who is able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
