Quik's Farm Ltd.is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over 20 acres of indoor and an additional 20 acres of seasonal outdoor growing space.
Quik's Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA.
We are currently hiring for a Human Resource Assistant. This position offers you an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fun-loving, and growing teamPrimary Responsibilities:
- Advise job applicants on employment requirements and on terms and conditions of employment
- Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
- Recommend managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
- Help in determine eligibility to rights, arrange staff training and provide information or services such as employee assistance, counselling, and recognition programs and report it to senior Manager
- Manage and follow up on the opening of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) files
- Lead and participate in workplace audits and investigations of safety concerns, incidents, and accidents
- Lead and participate in workplace inspections to ensure equipment, materials, and production processes
- Develop and implement health and safety programs, including standard operating procedures, policies, and training to mitigate risk, optimize worker's health and safety and foster a positive occupational health and safety culture
- Initiate enforcement procedures on workplaces contravening organization and government health and safety standards and regulations
- Help training to employers, employees, and the general public on issues of workplace safety
- Communicate, engage, and influence decisionmakers and workers to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Assist in Keeping up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices
HR Assistant Requirements:
- High School Completion or bachelor's degree in human resources or related
- Experience as an HR
- Effective HR administration and people management skills
- Understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
