Pipe Layer - Civil Works

Civil contracting company is looking for a Pipe Layer with experience in underground civil utilities installation and repair (water mains, sewers, hydro, telephone and road building).

Position Summary:

Duties include:

Pipe laying (working with ductile iron, PVC, concrete pipes)
Set up and maintenance of pipe and grade lasers
Calculate and maintain grades as required by specifications
Schedule of quantities and scope of work for each project
Use power tools and other small construction equipment (plate, chainsaw, cutoff saw)
Clean up jobsites and maintain a safe work environment
Adhering to all safety procedures and company policies
Read plans
Perform testing for pipe

Experience and Requirements:

A minimum 2 years' experience in pipe laying (working with ductile iron, PVC, concrete pipes),
Understanding of soil conditions & safe work procedures
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
References to be submitted with the resume
Valid BC drivers license
