We are looking for a full-time, Quality Technician seeking long-term employment.

What you will do as a Quality Technician:

  • Checking that engineering and manufacturing processes are correct using the right tools, materials, and processes.
  • Completion of quality documentation and ensure products in line with industry and TFP's standards.
  • Proactive review and improvement of systems and processes to ensure the maintenance of standards.
  • Maintaining accurate quality documentation.
  • Working closely with manufacturing staff and Quality Manager to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is correctly maintained and implement any new changes or adaptations based on a quality review.
  • Inspection and testing of various parts of manufacturing including products, components, processes, and comparing against predefined standards.
  • Analyzing problems reported and developing improvements to overcome them.
  • Continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
  • Communicate and liaise all customer quality issues with Quality manager.
  • Coordinate containment and sort activities with the FSMS Specialist & Quality Manager.
  • Perform root cause investigation for quality issues to determine effective corrective action. Ensure continuous improvement and corrective action plans are communicated, implemented, verified, and closed.
  • Quality activities for new and changed programs.
  • Assist in the execution and evaluation of process FMEA's, control plans, process flow charts and other APQP documentation to ensure all customer requirements are understood, captured, and controlled.
  • Conduct training as required for new program launches, SPC, etc. to support production readiness through prelaunch and serial production.
  • Assist in completion of Production Verification Runs (PVR) to facilitate successful program launches, rapid production readiness timing, and mínimal cost impact activities.
  • Execute the provided priorities action plans to reduce variation and waste (cost) in the system.
  • Execute and follow newly developed operating systems and procedures to support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Participate and assist with internal & thirdparty quality audits to assess the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality Management System.

Requirements (Job Specification):


  • Postsecondary education in food science, microbiology, or related field of study.
  • QA/QC experience in Flexible Packaging or food manufacturing is a strong asset.
  • Experience working with ISO programs is a must.
  • HACCP/Food Safety training is an asset.
