Position overview:
We have a vacancy for a Digital Printer, ideally you will have previous experience running HP Latex printers, as well as using Onyx RIP software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Checks production progress and inspects for conformance to quality standards and customer requirements.
- Organizes, plans and determines priorities for department operations in conjunction with the department Supervisor and Lead Hand.
- Makes sure the work in progress is updated on a constant basis.
- Makes sure all information and documentation pertaining to jobs is complete and filled correctly.
- Operation, setting up and maintenance of the digital printing devices
- Helps train new employees.
- Responsible for reacting quickly to problem solve any issues with ongoing jobs.
- Spoilage levels to be minimized, consistent with high level Quality standards and good business practice.
- Perform in a professional manner with all internal and external customers
- Responsible for the quality of produced jobs and goods in the department.
- Responsible for the inspection and approval of finished work in the department.
- Responsible for following all policies, practices and procedures of the department.
- Take ownership of your department and pride in our product, and mentor others to that same level of commitment.
- Learn and be aligned with both company and production objectives.
- Performs other duties and special project as assigned.
What you bring to Ampco:
- 2+ years of print experience, preferably with digital presses.
- Ideally you will have previous experience running HP Latex printers, as well as using Onyx RIP software.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Good problem solving skills. Be able to think on your feet, show initiative and provide helpful solutions.
- You are reliable, punctual and conscientious.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, highest level of workmanship and take pride in your work.
- Work well in a team and be a supportive team member.
- Patience, with the ability to work calm under pressure.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and prioritize a busy workload with timesensitive deadlines.
- Highly organized and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic, selfmotivated and driven.
- The ability to read and speak English fluently, communicate effectively.
- A complete resume showing work experience and education.
- Be proactive and solutions focused.
- Be able to lift and carry heavy objects, reach and climb up ladders, following at all time WorkSafe BC recommended guidelines.

- 3:00pm or 7:00am
