The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated
Cook for our Rehabilitation Facility in Grouard, Alberta. This is a
permanent position with a four days on - four days off schedule. Joining our team provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain valuable experience in the field of rehabilitation care.

While on-site, Kapown offers complimentary accommodations and meals.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Cook will oversee kitchen operations and meal preparation for clients. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting, delivering quality service and nutritious meals to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and organize workstations, plan and prepare daily meals and snacks following health & safety guidelines.
  • Prepare ingredients, cook a variety of recipes, ensure proper portioning for individual client needs.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, conduct routine housekeeping tasks, manage food storage, and uphold safety standards.
  • Manage food and supplies orders, create weekly menus, monitor kitchen inventory, and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in Food or Customer Service industry preferred.
  • Culinary arts education or Red Seal certification is a plus.
  • First Aid, Crisis Intervention, and Workplace Safety training required.
  • Experience with dietary restrictions, inventory management.
