Job summary
Plan routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment GPS equipment or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy load and unload goods oversee condition of vehicle inspect tires lights brakes cold storage and other equipment perform brake adjustments emergency roadside repairs pre-trip en route post-trip inspection preventive maintenance record cargo information hours of service distance travelled fuel consumption.
