Parslow Heritage Consultancy is hiring archaeological field technicians for the 2023 field season. Positions are open for those in the GTHA, Kitchener-Waterloo, Leamington, and Niagara regions. Come join the team at one of Ontario's fastest growing CRM companies

Field Technician
As a field technician at PHC, you will have the opportunity to:

Participate in archaeological surveys, assessments, and excavations.
Participate in artifact processing and identification in a lab setting.
Gain a better understanding of Ontario's history, and the consulting archaeology industry in Ontario.
Work alongside Indigenous archaeologists and field liaison representatives.
Work in a variety of locations across Ontario.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in archaeology/anthropology or related field (completed or in progress).
At minimum, successful completion of an archaeological field school but preference given to those who have worked in consulting archaeology.
Must work well within a team environment.
Ability to work in a variety of outdoor conditions and ability to lift up to 50 pounds and conduct manual labour activities that will include kneeling, shovelling, and screening (repetitive motion activities).
Ability to travel and hotel overnight (double occupancy). Per Diem will be provided.
Ability to convene at rallying points for transportation to/from site.
Use of personal vehicle may be required due to the ongoing Covid19 situation.
