Warehouse Supervisor:

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our newest location in Delta, BC.


About us:


Responsibilities:


Operations:

  • Oversee onsite inventory and ensure items are handled with care.
  • Maintain inventory records, and over see daily cycle counts.
  • Leading the team in achieving daily SLAs. Provide the necessary coaching /training to assist employees in achieving the daily targets.
  • Provide suggestions to the Director of Operations on productivity improvement processes and operational growth.
  • Work with the Director of Operations in managing the manpower planning daily and during the peak/product launch periods to ensure operational success.
  • Offload inbound shipments and enter items into online inventory.
Employee Relations/Performance

  • Conduct performance review when employees are eligible for an increase or require feedback on performance management.
  • Conduct oneonone meetings with all hourly employees regarding their overall performance.
  • Facilitate daily shift start up meetings to effectively communicate all pertinent information regarding process changes, goals and objectives.
  • Cross train employees in various functions to improve labour costs and efficiencies.
  • Provide or coordinate operational trainings for new hires.
Administration

  • Using timekeeping system to approve timesheet entries and resolve payroll issues or follow up with Human Resources
  • Strong problemsolving and collaborative skills. Ability to synthesize data into comprehensive reports
  • Excellent PC Skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
Health and Safety

  • Ensure work areas are hazard free and clear of any potential hazards through regular site inspections and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all safety policies, procedures and programs are adhered to at all times.
  • Participate and conduct training sessions for the hourly employees.
  • Communicate Health and Safety awareness as needed.
  • Resolve any health and safety concerns/issues immediately. If unable to, escalate it to the Director of Operations
  • Effectively respond to injuries through appropriate medical treatment and suitable duties accommodation.

Qualifications:

years of warehouse leadership experience, with responsibility to manage employees

  • Valid driver's license. A clean drivers abstract (proof will be required before employment offer is made)
  • Forklift license, or the ability to obtain one as a condition of employment
  • College education is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English


  • Inventory management

  • Using a computer system to track inventory and assign deliveries. SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • A working leader. This will not be a sit behind a desk job. You will be expected to "get your sleeves up" to complete tasks on time and on budget.
  • Prioritization and time management directing multiple teams to ensure tasks are completed
  • Experience handling multiple SKU's in a distribution environment


  • Self starter

  • Ability to direct tasks to your team, organize the workflow by priority and have selfinitiative mindset.
  • Ability to work overtime on occasion, when required.
  • A strong desire to succeed, and deliver top notch customer service

Additional asset skills:

  • Experience working with stone/slab products considered an asset

Duties:


  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient workflow
  • Supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance and support
  • Coordinate and prioritize order picking and fulfillment activities
  • Utilize Excel and AS400 to track inventory and manage warehouse data
  • Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols
  • Monitor productivity and performance metrics to meet operational goals
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations and best practices
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse processes
  • Operate forklift and other equipment as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and vendors

Experience:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Strong knowledge of order picking processes and inventory management systems (AS400 experience preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Forklift certification required
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience working with thirdparty logistics (3PL) providers is a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to fabricate solutions to operational challenges

Salary:
$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
