A kind and busy family of four is looking for a responsible and nurturing nanny to join their family. They love people and having fun, and they need assistance with the afterschool rush and into the evening.

They are looking for someone who can help them with the daily responsibilities of running a household and managing the needs of their children.

Their 14-year-old daughter, a Grade 9 student is involved in dance and drama and enjoys her studies and downtime. Their 9-year-old son is a joyful boy who loves basketball, skateboarding, and video games. They also have an 18-month-old puppy who is super loveable and playful.

They are looking for a nanny who is:

Fun: likes active play (basketball, soccer, skateboarding) and being outside. Is joyful and energetic
Fair: is willing to hear children and be compassionate but also equitable when making decisions
Flexible + Firm: Can bend within a structure but upholds family values and rules
Transparent: This is essential They like straightforward communication and happy to problemsolve together.
Reliable: they can count on tasks being done well and on time
Safe: Outstanding driving record + will make sure that kids and dog are safe in their care

Must Have:

Driving: pick up from school in West Van, driving to tutoring, driving for play dates or other afterschool programs
Tidy up after play + meals + putting laundry away as needed (they have a housekeeper so no heavy housekeeping required)
Dog walking, just in the neighborhood a very loveable 18monthold cutie in the evening while family has dinner.
House manager tasks* when 9yearold is in tutoring
Errands such as small grocery shops, gift pick up, UPS drop off

Computer tasks include:
managing school/children's calendars, researching + arranging family fun times, booking reservations parents for possible date nights (if time permits)

Nice to have:

Professional/executive assistant tasks (data entry, small business management tasks/bookkeeping, social media
Homework support for Grade 9 student in French Immersion and English Math
Famuily Meal preparation/cooking

They are willing to pay up to $40/hour IF you are amenable to ALL the Must have and Nice to have lists.

The schedule can be flexible, with either 3-5 days per week.

Their ideal hours are 1:30pm to 7:30pm, but the bookending hours are flexible, especially on Fridays if you want to finish earlier than 7:30pm to start your weekend.

Willing to provide more hours, even moving to full-time for the right person if willing to work on the weekends.

Driving is required and a car is provided during work hours.

The family is vaccinated against COVID and would appreciate if nanny is the same.
