    WORK ARRANGEMENTS: Montreal: Hybrid – 3 days in office;

    OVERVIEW

    Reporting to the President, the Director of Sales will focus on sales and new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and help this established business grow. Responsible to drive sustainable annual financial growth and to forge strong relationships with all stakeholders (sales team, clients, suppliers and partners). Create and execute an effective sales strategy and plan, all while overseeing the sales managers in all JPdL destinations.

    KEY RESPONSABILITIES

    Leadership

    • Oversee sales team, provide guidance and collaboration on proposals;
    • Collaborate on winning bids with program management team, clients and partners;
    • Suggest new policies and procedures to help improve business profitability;
    • Educate and coach on selling techniques;
    • Engage in fieldwork to nurture sales opportunities;
    • Guide team in issuing proposals with necessary resources.

    Driving new business opportunities

    • Identify new areas of growth for the business and work with sales team to put plans into action;
    • Identify, create, negotiate and close new business opportunities;
    • Develop and execute strategic business plans;
    • Raise JPdL's profile and establish strong relationships with targeted clients and partners resulting in increased business opportunities;
    • Collaborate with marketing team to create promotional materials that effectively communicate our value proposition to prospective clients;
    • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads, fostering partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders;
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to anticipate client needs and proactively offer innovative solutions, positioning the company as a trusted advisor and industry leader.

    Developing and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships

    • Identify client's strategic priorities and interests to expand our destinations;
    • Coordinate and support communication plans for enhanced visibility;
    • Rally and grow sales, companywide;
    • Monitor sales forecasts and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline for DMC and PCO sales;
    • Align DMC, PCO, and Government Sales efforts;
    • Analyze sales and action plan (SAP) yield through lead tracking and ranking;
    • Develop strategic roadmap for increased business opportunities;
    • In collaboration with the sales team, conceive and implement new sales tools and technologies for solution improvement;
    • Proactively address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention;
    • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements to maximize profitability and service quality.

    PROFILE

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in events or in an agency environment;
    • University (or equivalent) degree in business, communication or any other relevant work;
    • Knowledge of Canadian venues and attractions;
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook);
    • Proficiency with social media platforms (Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook);
    • Knowledge of FileMaker an asset;
    • Professional rigor, respect for deadlines, and attention to detail;
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and autonomous with an ability to inspire a sales team;
    • Open and comfortable with new technologies;
    • Committed and engaged: Wanting to be part of a growing team and evolve within it;
    • Creativity, curiosity and "artistic eye";
    • Quick learner, with a flexible and proactive approach; able to work with tight deadlines;
    • Bilingual (oral and written) in English and French.
