Position Overview:


The Contract Administrator position is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join the Project and Finance team at LMS Reinforcing Steel Group.

Reporting to the Finance Manager this role will oversee and maintain all information and records relating to our projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Monthly progress billing for approximately 200 projects
  • Change order processing
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests
  • Preliminary contract review
  • Create proposed schedule of values for management's approval
  • Collection and communication of new job information, setup of new jobs in systems
  • Preparation and setup of projects documentation including set up of templates and scanning to the network folder (contracts, change orders, insurance, correspondence etc.)
  • Holdback billing
  • Monitor, maintain and file project documentation electronically
  • Tracking payments and deadlines, follow up with clients to resolve any payment issues
  • Administer contract review and signature process
  • Project coordination between field staff, detailers, and management
  • Communicate project insurance requirements and request project specific insurance certificate
  • Gather other documentation as requested by customer (safety, payroll, etc)
  • Prepare and follow up on requests for substantial completion and holdback release for all projects
  • Follow up with customers on requests for change orders

Qualifications:


  • 2+ years administrative experience, preferably in the Construction Industry
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Postsecondary education
  • Strong team player
  • Experience with electronic filing of documentation
  • Excellent time management, organization and communication skills
  • Selfmotivated and able to prioritize tasks independently
