ARC provides a full range of fertility services including investigations, surgery, IUI, IVF, ICSI, pre-implantation genetic testing, egg/sperm freezing, and early prenatal support.

We are located on the West End of Edmonton, conveniently just off the Anthony Henday.


As an Andrologist you will be responsible for providing specialized andrology services to support sperm preparation, sperm cryopreservation, intrauterine inseminations (IUI) and the donor sperm program.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Updating the patient EMR.
  • Adhering to the laboratory's standard operating procedures.
  • Recording observations and results accurately and fully.
  • Preparing fresh and frozen sperm samples.
  • Adhering to safe and ethical laboratory practices.
  • Assessing human sperm sample parameters for semen analysis, post vasectomy semen assessment.
  • Semen assessment and preparation for treatment, including surgically recovered sperm.
  • Ensuring equipment is functioning according to specifications.
  • Maintaining the utmost confidentiality with all patients.
  • Abiding by and following ARC's policies and procedures

Qualification & Licensures

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant sciences such as biological sciences, reproductive biology, or animal scienced from an accredited tertiary educational institute (with Canadian or provincial equivalency as required).
  • Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society certification is an asset.

Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • 2 or more years experience as an Andrologist in a fertility clinic or related MLT experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, and high degree of discretion.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and written.
  • History of safe work practices.
  • Understanding of quality and risk management.
  • Ability to work as a team and individually.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, organize workload and plan independently.

Excellent organization skills.

Critical thinker.

Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

History of good attendance and work performance.

EMR experience an asset.
