    Expected Salary: $75,696 to $109,339

    In this role, you will:

  • Report directly to the Waterfront Engineering Marine Systems - Team Lead and contribute to the successful delivery of technical deliverables.
  • Support the maintenance of submarine platform systems
  • Be safety conscious and gain knowledge of submarine safety principles and general awareness training
  • Gain knowledge of Defence Standards, Military Specifications, and other relevant guiding principles in the design and maintenance of submarine-specific systems
  • Develop knowledge of submarine platform systems

    The ideal candidate brings:

  • You have strong technical skills including accredited post-secondary education in a mechanical engineering discipline
  • Minimum 4 years Engineering experience.
  • You are a registered professional engineer in BC (P.Eng) or are currently eligible for registration
  • You have experience in design or maintenance of platform marine systems such as hydraulics, high pressure air, diesel, and propulsion systems (submarine-specific experience is desirable)
  • You have strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • You have strong computer skills; including MS Office suite
  • You have experience with tasks requiring attention to detail
  • You have experience working in a shipyard and knowledge of shipyard safe work practices
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
