What you'll be doing:


Internal Communications

  • Lead internal communications material development and distribution (including but not limited to the newsletter, operations and executive messaging, video scripts, and presentations) in partnership with People and Culture crossfunctional team members and communications consulting partner in developing and executing comprehensive program design to support and reinforce organization's commitment to people, culture and customers.
  • Oversee and manage all messaging and communications, working with all program areas to ensure continuity in communications and messaging.
  • Calendar communications planning with operations, People & Culture, Technology and Finance
  • Develop, implement, and oversee engagement and recognition programs with P&C to reinforce our commitment to our peoplefirst culture.
  • Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with the P&C team to create a onestopshop communications channel for all team members to consume timely updates and features.
  • Supports employee meetings (town halls, leadership meetings, employee engagement opportunities), logistics and material development.
  • Creates organic content (written, web, digital) across internal and external communications to ensure an integrated communications approach.
  • Works with Marketing to bring communications materials to life via branding and graphic design elements.

Social Media

  • Develop and executes AutoCanada's social media strategy and content calendar.
  • Maintain AutoCanada's LinkedIn and serve as a content creator, posting and evaluating content in the spirit of continuous improvement. Maintains AutoCanada LinkedIn and serves as content creator, posting and evaluating content in the spirit of continuous improvement.

Employer Branding

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and Marketing Team to promote AutoCanada's dedication to people.
  • Promote and communicate the employee value proposition through various digital platforms.
  • Develop campaigns to build brand affinity and advocacy amongst employees; help build brand ambassador's programs.

What you need:


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Journalism, or related field of study required.
  • 5+ years of work experience in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. (French considered an asset)[AM3] [JL4]
  • Demonstrated writing and editing experience in print and/or online media.
  • Program management experience and the ability to balance multiple projects while working with a sense of urgency and adhering to deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to prioritize, strong attention to detail and the ability to provide strategic guidance to operations leaders.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful, proactive strategic communications programs that employ creativity and use a variety of communications channels (external and internal).
  • Resourceful in gathering information from across the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a successful track record.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior executives.
  • Experience developing communications for corporate and field audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Photoshop.
