Description

The
CAD Drafter will work with a team of designers, engineers and project managers utilizing AutoCAD and related products to produce complete drawing deliverables.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Develop reinforced concrete drawings based on design provided by engineers.
Develop mechanical drawings based on contractual requirement.
Develop annotative details and sections
Develop shop drawings (steel plate and piping)
Coordinate with engineers, shop and construction operations to meet fabrication and constructability requirements

Required Qualifications:

High proficient use of Autodesk AutoCAD.
3D modelling experience as an asset
Experienced with structural steel, reinforced concrete, steel plate and mechanical design.
Understanding of engineering principles, assembly, fabrication, and construction
Knowledge of engineering workflow process and industry standards.
Ability to work in teams on completion of deliverables with challenging schedules
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel

Background:

Disciplined in Architectural/Civil/Mechanical Technology or Technician
5 or more years of relevant experience in a professional services design firm or comparable experience
