    SECURE Energy provides waste management services through the Fort McMurray Oilsands region. The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for the communication and coordination of transporting bins to and from customer locations with our drivers throughout the region.

    A Day in The Life

    The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive and record calls from customers
  • Input details from customers to generate work order packages ( Work orders, manifests, 's, etc.)
  • Utilize multiple electronic platforms to complete daily tasks (CRO, HMM, ARI, ITRAX)
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers
  • Assist in processing of completed work order
  • Oversee driver pickup and delivery
  • Customer focused approach with an emphasis of maintaining client and employee relations
  • Set up and maintain project folders
  • Additional responsibilities include the following:
  • Equipment maintenance scheduling. Assist management and drivers in scheduling Truck, trailer and bin maintenance.
  • Working with department management and site crews to provide resources and guidance to ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Yard and shop duties. Equipment operation including forklift, skid steers and small loaders. Maintaining washbay and shop house keeping.
  • Parts running, picking up project supplies from various vendors in town.
  • Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have:

  • 2-5 years' experience in a dispatch and/or project coordinator function
  • Post-secondary education in logistics, transportation and/or business or equivalent training and/or on the job experience
  • Experience or knowledge of waste industry
  • CDL Driver Preferred (Class 1 or 3)
  • Knowledge of local roads and highways, dangerous goods routes and road bans
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize projects and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service focus, professional and effective communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to gather and analyze information and resolve problems quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all organization levels
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on more responsibilities as needed, and devote time necessary to complete deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, demonstrated ability for accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to reliably handle confidential information
  • Is team oriented and dedicated to helping the team achieve its goals
