Technical Solutions Consultant for Software Development Agency

Job description
We are a growing software development studio working with ecommerce brands, SaaS startups, and custom platform builds.Most of our inbound leads come from Meta Ads and require an initial discovery call before moving into technical architecture sessions with our senior engineering team.
We are looking for a Technical Solutions Consultant who will handle the first client interview — asking structured questions, understanding requirements, identifying budgets, and qualifying opportunities before they move forward.
You will be speaking with warm inbound leads who are already interested in building software.
Responsibilities
Lead 20–30 minute discovery calls with inbound prospects
Ask structured questions about business goals, requirements, and timelines
Identify project scope, complexity, and budget signals
Capture clear notes and summarize findings for our internal team
Filter unqualified leads before technical deep-dive meetings
Maintain a professional, consultative tone with clients
Ideal Background
We are NOT looking for a traditional salesperson.

Technical Solutions Consultant
Pre-Sales Engineer
Technical Account Manager
Product Discovery Specialist
Agency Project Discovery roles
You should be comfortable discussing:
Custom software projects
Ecommerce platforms (Shopify experience is a strong plus)
APIs, integrations, or modern web architecture at a high level
You do NOT need to code, but you must understand technical conversations.
Requirements
Excellent spoken English
Experience running client discovery calls
Ability to ask the right questions and guide conversations
Strong documentation and note-taking skills
Professional presence on video calls
Bonus if you have experience with:
Shopify or ecommerce projects
SaaS products
Agency environments
