Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together


As an Administrative Associate for the Mental Health division of TELUS Health Care Centres, you will provide excellent client care by assisting the medical and professional staff in managing client activity.

You will develop strong relationships with other health care providers in the community including Mental Health Care Providers and general practitioners.

To this end, you will work together with support staff, Psychologists, Social Workers, Clinical Counsellors and other specialists to build one-on-one relationships that will facilitate ongoing communications and cross-referrals.


Here's how

  • As the face of the clinic you will greet clients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Answer in person or telephone inquiries/request, and direct to appropriate parties when required.
  • You will be organized and efficient, oversee and execute everyday administrative tasks to ensure that the clinic runs smoothly and successfully.
  • Prepare and validate invoices as per the client contract and produce periodic reports.
  • Answer clients' requests regarding their statement of account and submit invoices through the portal when needed.
  • Participate in special projects linked to continuous improvement, new products and best practice.
  • Analyze customer accounts and issue credit notes when needed.
  • Adherence to regulations, privacy and confidentiality guidelines

Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle

  • Three to Five years of office administrative experience preferable in a private entrepreneurial environment
  • Minimum one year in a billing environment
  • Five years of healthcare experience and medical terminology greatly preferred
  • Experience in Mental Health would be an asset
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office, and Drive
  • Good knowledge of administrative tasks such as; data entry, filing, and document preparation
  • Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
  • A team player capable of interacting professionally with staff and Health Care provides with a positive attitude
  • Ability to handle and communicate effectively with challenging clients

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Full time in clinic position
You will be required to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
You will be working in an office environment, requiring extended periods of time completing computer related work.
You will work an eight hour day with an additional minimum of half hour for lunch.
