Description
This position is responsible for adherence to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the I.C.E. policy and procedure manual and must promote health and safety in the workplace.

  • Aiding in the completion of all RPAC related documents including behaviour intervention plans; this includes development, implementation, monitoring of documentation and meeting all associated timelines
  • Attending Restrictive Procedures Advisory Committee (RPAC) meetings and completion of associated meeting minutes
  • Chairing Restrictive Procedures Advisory Committee (RPAC) meetings in the absence of the Client Behavioural Services Consultant
  • Assisting with training for agency personnel as appropriate
  • Attending Planning Meetings in a behavioural supports capacity, as required
  • Consulting with external resources as required (i.e. psychologists, psychiatrists) to facilitate behaviour support planning
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and agency policy and procedures both in principle and with supporting documentation
  • An understanding of the broader range of community resources available and a clear understanding of how and when they are accessed to enhance client supports
  • Following acceptable standards and procedures for risk management including identification, mitigation and ongoing evaluation of risks; this includes a working knowledge of applicable legislation
  • Becoming familiar with and able to use computer programs designed for I.C.E. for tracking client, employee and service delivery information
  • Other duties as required

Formal Education - Preferred to have some post secondary with a focus in Behavioural Modification or 2 year diploma or 4 year degree in Community Rehabilitation (Disability Studies) or related degree/diploma.

  • You have advanced time management, organizational and effective interpersonal skills and proven abilities in these areas
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have proficient computer skills
  • You have an ability to handle stressful situations proactively
  • Must have class 5 driver's license & own a vehicle
  • Familiarity with CET Standards is preferred
  • Experience with the implementation of behaviour intervention plans is preferred
  • Must have a Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search completed within the last 6 months

Salary:
$22.31 per hour
