Early Childhood Educator Assistant - Vanier, Canada - Edgewood Child Care Centre

Description

Educator's Assistant in a licensed Centre based preschool program. Responsibilities include preparing lunch and nap areas, assisting staff in playrooms, through transitions and routines.

Responsible to replace staff for break times, to supervise sleep area and Early Risers program, as well as replacing staff for sick or vacation days.

Position is primarily "on call", hours will vary.

Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate required, current Vulnerable Sector Check required, valid immunization record required.

Possibility of a short-term contract, experience with special needs an asset.

Bilingualism, experience in centre based childcare an asset.


Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 06-20 per week


Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Vanier, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• DCS / DEC (preferred)

Experience:

- centre based childcare: 1 year (required)


Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification, CPR, Vulnerable Sector Check, (required)
