Reporting to the Manager, Talent Experience, the Talent Marketing Consultant, with a focus on the City of Edmonton's Cultural Commitments of Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, will be accountable for


Strategy Development, Implementation and Evaluation

  • Design, create and update web pages on the City's career site and intranet site, ensuring a userfriendly experience
  • Manage talent communities by leveraging marketing methodologies to foster growth and engagement
  • Provide consultation and expertise to recruiters, hiring managers and business partners on communications and marketing best practices and tactics
  • Manage recruitmentrelated social media channels by curating and developing content that is aligned with corporate brand guidelines and by responding to and moderating user comments

Performance, Reporting and Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct reviews of talent sourcing and marketing business processes, technologies and related issues to identify opportunities for improvement; leverage these analyses to develop effective solutions and strategies for process improvement
  • Conduct research and environmental scans to stay updated on emerging technology, trends and initiatives related to talent sourcing, and provide recommendations for implementation
  • Develop, implement and analyze performance metrics related to talent sourcing and marketing; leverage these analyses in the development of tactics, projects, process improvements and quality controls
  • Ensure talent sourcing portfolio is in alignment with corporate programs, guidelines and frameworks, including but not limited to: City of Edmonton's Visual Identity, Leadership Competencies, Cultural Commitments, The City Plan, Talent Acquisition Framework, Diversity and Inclusion Framework, and Indigenous Framework

Project Management

  • Lead projects related to talent sourcing and marketing, including implementations of related systems and tools
  • Develop project management plans that outline project objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation and risk management strategies to ensure successful project execution
  • Develop and implement change management plans, project communication plans and project performance measurement plans
  • Perform project wrapup and closing activities, including project reviews, documenting lessons learned, finalizing project documentation and transitioning project responsibilities to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Certification and/or coursework in graphic design, project management, research methodology and design, or continuous improvement would be an asset
  • A minimum of (5) years of progressive experience in a related role, including a combination of strategic business planning and talent marketing
  • Appreciable knowledge in the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and processes
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to achieve tangible, measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a selfdirected manner with mínimal guidance and supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritize and coordinate work to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and report writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external business partners such as hiring managers, vendors and business unit advisors

Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
