Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Milton, ON facility and offers benefits from Day1.

What you'll do:


  • The primary function of the position is to Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) function within the Milton site, including support and execution of CI, capital, growth and sourcing projects. Through a handson approach, the incumbent deploys Lean, Six Sigma and Manufacturing Excellence tools and processes to drive cost out goals, achieve performance excellence, improve competitiveness and customer satisfaction as measured through Profit Plan and Strategic Plan goals. The incumbent will lead the development of site capabilities in Continuous Improvement with regards to Lean, Six Sigma and Manufacturing Excellence.
    Essential Functions/Position Requirements
  • Champion Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) tools and processes and use in a disciplined and rigorous way to achieve stretch performance goals while building organizational capability of business.
  • Responsible for sustaining the results achieved through followup reviews, building of local organizational capability and deployment of Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).
  • Support annual assessments including Operations Assessment (OpA). Identify with site leadership appropriate Opportunities for Advancement and improvement action plans.
  • Facilitate improvement events with multifunctional groups and provide ELSS training.
  • Support the development and implementation of cost, productivity and strategic manufacturing programs consistent with plant objectives.
  • Identify metrics for key business drivers and reinforce knowledge of them throughout the operations.
  • Support and drive manufacturing plans to support facility sales and inventory objectives.
  • Coordinate and support the facilitation of toplevel training/program on ELSS tools and culture.
  • Responsible for the development of Six Sigma statistical tools competence and resource as required by the businesses in Canada.
  • Key support for MESH ISO14001 deployment. Allocate resources and champion categories as required.
  • Responsible for working with the site leadership and for codeveloping the continuous improvement plans within the LVDA facility utilizing Integrated Deck Building and EBS Pull.
  • Responsible for execution of the key breakthrough continuous improvement projects (key needle mover projects) within the specified area of responsibility, including the achievement of stretch performance goals.
  • Plan and oversee costout, continuous improvement and capital programs for Supply Chain, manufacturing, facilities and information systems for the Milton facility.
  • Identify and promote bestpractices within the Electrical Sector. Conduct research focused on benchmarking worldclass performance and utilize findings to recommend stretch targets to senior leadership

Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary degree in a relevant technical discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing Engineering or Business)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience combined in continuous improvement, manufacturing operations, product development and cost out.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications:


  • University degree in relevant area of study.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Certified LEAN trainer.
  • Previous experience managing people.

Skills:


  • Strong analytical aptitude and complex problemsolving skills.
  • Highly collaborative individual.
  • Advanced digital skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Effective time management and prioritization
