Our second Miku location in North America - boosts a mínimalist, sophisticated atmosphere while bringing Japanese flavours and techniques with local ingredients to create a truly innovative dining experience.

Miku Toronto is looking to grow our team with passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to working in a fast-paced environment.


Reporting to the Head Pastry Chef, the Pastry Cook learns, prepares, and creates innovative and signature desserts served at Miku.

The Pastry Cook contributes to the guest experience by creating memorable desserts that incorporate fresh, local ingredients, and new inspirations.


Responsibilities:

Decorating desserts using different garnishes to ensure proper execution and standard
Plating desserts once orders have been received in an efficient and timely manner
Responsible for closing duties at the end of lunch or dinner service, ensuring food and safety protocol is met
Ensuring quality checks of all desserts are up to restaurant standard
Other duties as assigned and required


Qualifications:

A genuine passion for desserts
1 or more years of experience in pastry arts
Knowledge of basic pastry preparations such as sponges, creams, mousses, cookies, cakes, sauces, ice cream/sorbets
Understanding basic baking ingredients and their properties
