Colour Matching Specialist - Kelowna, Canada - Eroko Distributors

Position Summary

This position is responsible for mixing pigments or base colors with paints, enamels, or lacquers to match standard or sample colors, following formulas and standard color samples to colour/stain products for sale.

As available, helps with receiving stock, shipping orders out and serving customers for pick up orders.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide custom colour matching both stains and solid color lacquers (from a formula, checklist)
• Determine best product line for optimum reproduction and quality
• Produce samples for customer review and future reference on wood samples
• Reproduce stain and lacquer to proper color and sheen
• Input formulation and cost information into the database
• Set up and maintains a colour match record keeping system and library
• Maintain a reasonable inventory supply
• Conduct maintenance of all spray equipment, shakers, tint wheel, lab benches and keep the booth clean
• Provide inhouse technical support of wood coatings, trouble shooting customer concerns
• Work in a safe manner that complies with all safety guidelines
• Contribute to team effort and completes other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience at tinting and color development an asset
• A keen eye for colour
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Mechanically inclined
• Personable and enjoy assisting customers

$20.00-$22.00 per hour
