The Warehouse Shipper/Receiver's primary function is to work directly with the Production Control team to plan and organize material flow from raw material receiving to finished good shipments, in order to achieve customer requirements.
Essential duties include but are not limited to scheduling trucks, staging loads for shipment, coordinating the movement of containers/product between facilities, tracking the status of trucks and shipments with the carrier, loading trailers and generating paperwork such as Packing Slips and BOLs.
The Shipper/Receiver is required to understand efficient flow of material throughout the plant and support the needs of both the Customer and Production.
The goal of the Shipper/Receiver is to ensure the effective flow of material and on-time shipment of quality product.This is accomplished by adhering to SOPs, properly handling paperwork on inbound and outbound material and maintaining required documentation such as receiving logs and staging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generating shipment paperwork such as Packing Slips, BOLs and participating in the creation of Load Schemes.
- Offloading and receiving inbound material, while maintaining associated paperwork (ie Receiving Log, Packing Slips).
- When receiving material from outside suppliers, input all receipts into the ERP system and generate all lot tags.
- Remove skids of finished components from work centers and stage them in the proper assigned location.
- Load and unload trucks as required following proper shipping and receiving practices.
- Follow computer generated load schemes to stage loads as required.
- Performs daily safety checks of forklift. Reports any issues to supervisor.
- Identify raw material and part damages. Report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Inspect lift machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
- Shipping finished goods by safely loading trucks and coordinating York packing slips and BOLs.
- Responsible in removing scrap from machines and coordinating recycle pickups with operations.
- Control dunnage and cardboard to and from production cells, as well as return dunnage from customers.
- Responsible for completing inventory cycle counts as required to support the maintenance of inventory and material planning. Must update and backflush ERP and Inventory system after receiving and shipments to reflect material in house.
- Coordinates team of material handlers and ensures the safe and proper execution of loading, unloading, material movement, wrapping, tagging and load staging.
- Understands the key processes and systems within the organization related to their workflow ensuring workflow is conducted efficiently while consistently seeking ways to improve outcomes and enhance results.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skill Set Requirements:
- Must have previous experience in a shop floor manufacturing environment. Previous experience in Metal Manufacturing or Automotive is preferred.
- Must hold a valid counterbalance forklift license.
- Excellent English language skills, with strong written and verbal communication.
- Basic computer skills required to work within Company's ERP and Inventory system. Must have proficiency in excel.
- Ability to work well both in a team and autonomously.
- Enthusiastic and committed individual, who posses a desire to learn and grow a career in Advanced Manufacturing.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Fast Paced manufacturing shop floor environment involves frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and balancing.
- Process is repetitive in nature and involves close attention to detail.
- Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Regular exposure to noise/temperature and/or adverse weather conditions, depending upon season.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$21.00-$25.00 per hour
