Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre (Cornerstone) has an exciting opportunity in which you get to work within the Admin team to ensure a strong, innovative support system is in place for women and children impacted by gender-based violence in Northumberland
County.

What can I expect to do in this role?

  • Administrative, clerical and office management support to the organization
  • Draft new and update current procedures for various programs
  • Back up data entry: Simply and various other databases
  • Compile data and prepare periodic and annual reports
  • Maintain board manuals, files, database and tracking functions
  • Preparation of board packages, distribution and minuting for board meetings, board committee meetings and the Annual General Meeting
  • Back up for Resource Centre Reception
  • Back up for payroll

What do I need for this role?

  • Relevant postsecondary diploma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the desire to learn new software
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with coworkers, volunteers, and students in a team model
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • An understanding of issues related to family violence
  • Superior organizational skills and selfmotivated
  • Works well both independently and with a team
  • Demonstrated personal traits such as empathy and respect
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
