Position:
TFS Shop Assistant


Position Type:
Occasional, Part time


Hours of work: 10-15 hours per week. Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working Saturday when needed.


Location:
Toronto campus - 306 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 1T7


Number of positions: 5


Start & End Dates:
June 5, 2023- June 30, 2023 & August 1- September 29, 2023


Hourly Rate:
$15,50/hour


About the position:

Reporting to the Manager of the TFS Shop, the duties and responsibilities of this position will include the following:

  • Provide assistance with merchandise selection in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
  • Advise customers on uniform guidelines, size and care of merchandise
  • Receive and prepare merchandise to be sold
  • Assist in organization of merchandise
  • Assist with inventory count
  • Process sales transactions and fulfill orders using Shopify (POS system)
  • Maintain an organized work environment while processing sales, returns and merchandise in accordance with internal control procedures for optimal inventory control
  • May be required to lift heavy objects, climb ladders or stand for an extended period of time

Who we are looking for:


  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Demonstrate sales ability and willingness to learn new product knowledge
  • Retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Customer service skills: Respectful, attentive to customer's needs
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible with working hours and scheduling
  • Ability to speak in French and/or Mandarin would be an important asset
